Meeting with the Caribbean Community Secretariat to Inform the Planned Implementation of the “Online Training Course on Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation”
The Acting Director of the Non-Aligned Movement Centre for South-South Technical Cooperation and the Director of American and European Intra-regional and Interregional Cooperation of the Republic of Indonesia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed the Caribbean Community Secretariat about the planned implementation of the "Online Training Course on Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation. The information was communicated during a virtual meeting on August 3, 2022.
The deadline for potential participants from CARICOM member countries was discussed during the meeting. Furthermore, it discussed the need for an agreement with CARICOM as a commitment to implementing face-to-face training as a continuation of virtual training, which is scheduled to take place in 2023.
The meeting resulted in a new schedule of registration deadlines for participants, as well as an estimated agreement signing date of November.
