Diar Nurbintoro, Acting Director of the Non-Aligned Movement Centre for South-South Technical Cooperation (NAM CSSTC), and Niken Supraba, Assistant Director for Programme, and Eddy Supriyatno, Assistant Director for Administration and Finance, received a courtesy visit from Ambassador of Guatemala to the Republic of Indonesia, Jacobo Cuyun, at the NAM CSSTC office on Monday (5/7/2022). The Ambassador was accompanied by First Secretary of the Guatemalan Embassy in Jakarta, Billy Lam Padilla, and Aristo Prabowo, Assistant to the Guatemalan Ambassador.

The purpose of the courtesy visit was to discuss South-South and triangular cooperation opportunities between NAM CSSTC and the Guatemalan government.

Diar presented a plan to conduct online disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation training for CARICOM and SICA member countries, including Guatemala. The training will take place virtually in 2022 and on-site in August 2023 at affiliated research centres of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). Cuyun stated that the online training programme is aligned with a priority issue for the Guatemalan government, and that the Guatemalan government will assist NAM CSSTC in finding participants for the online training.
