NAM CSSTC and ICC Discuss the Joint Programme Plan for Fiscal Year 2022
On December 17, 2021, officials and personnel from the Non-Aligned Movement Centre for South-South Technical Cooperation (NAM CSSTC) met with officials and staff from the International Coconut Community (ICC) to discuss the Collaboration Programme for the fiscal year 2022. The meeting was held at Nusa Dua, Bali.
During the meeting, representatives from both organisations recalled the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the two organisations in 2020, as well as the partnership activities that have been carried out since the signing of the MoU, which included “Stay Healthy During the Covid-19 Pandemic” training and webinar projects, a webinar on coconut husk, and an international certificate course. The NAM CSSTC’s Acting Director Diar Nurbintoro emphasised the need of further implementing the MoU by examining the joint programme plan for fiscal year 2022.
The discussion resulted in a two-party consensus to design programmes linked to coconut quality standards and the pooling of coconut expertise from developing nations. The ICC will also conduct a poll among its member countries to get additional information about training programme subtopics.
