The NAM CSSTC and the ICC Organised an Online Training on Nata de Coco
Tuesday 8th of September, 2020, the Non-Aligned Movement Centre for South-South Technical Cooperation (NAM CSSTC) and the International Coconut Community (ICC) were organising an online training on nata de coco. The training was provided to African, Asian, Latin American and Caribbean, and Pacific member countries. The training aimed to further increase the participant’s know-how and expertise in the processing of nata de coco. Two experts from Indonesia’s Ministry of Agriculture and PT KARA Santan Pertama had been presented in the online training..
The training agenda included experts’ presentations and discussion of participants and experts led by the moderator, Mr. Vincent Bernard Johnson. Experts addressed topic on the development of nata de coco, from coconut selection to products packaging. The topic shall provide the participants with insights into the nutrients in the products. Moreover, there were also presentations of the marketing strategy for nata de coco products.
The participants were impressed with the comprehensive presentation and collaboration opportunity in the development of nata de coco, and the marketing strategy of PT KARA Santan Pertama. (FF)
