Meeting with Fiji Charge d’Affaires
On Wednesday, 20th June, 2019, Non-Aligned Movement Centre for South-South Technical Cooperation (NAM CSSTC) hosted a meeting with Fiji Charge d’Affaires, Isaac Grace, regarding training and capacity-building activity for Fiji. The meeting was also attended by First Secretary and Third Secretary of the Embassy, Vilinesa Naivaluca and Hansel Whippy, whereas the Director for NAM CSSTC was accompanied by Assistant Director for Administration & Finance, Eko Takariawan.
The meeting was intended to follow up Note Verbale from the Embassy of Fiji in Jakarta regarding proposal to organise training activity at the Centre for Integrated Agribusiness Development, Purwodadi. According to Charge-D, further need assessment is required to identify topic of training and criteria of participants. Further details would be transmitted by the Embassy.
On the occasion of the meeting, Fiji Charge-D also expressed intention to cooperate with NAM CSSTC considering track record of programme implementations by the organisation. The Government of Fiji would be pleased to be informed about annual training programmes implemented by NAM CSSTC to determine which programme is in line with programmes at the Ministry of Agriculture of Fiji.
Meanwhile, NAM CSSTC seek follow-up from Dispatch of Experts activity held last April. The Embassy recognised the need for gradual processing related to the initial planning on Demonstration Farm establishment as a result of Dispatch of Experts organisation.
