Non-Aligned Movement Centre for South-South Technical Cooperation and Government of Indonesia Dispatched Experts on Agriculture to Myanmar

Numerous Indonesian Agricultural Experts were dispatched to Hlegu Township, Myanmar, 7-10 December 2018.
The programme was intended to promote international agriculture exchanges and cooperation, particularly in improving agricultural productivity and food security.
“NAM Centre seeks to maintain sustainability of capacity-building activities for agricultural technical officers from Myanmar and Indonesia. Participants have been prepared to promote transfer of knowledge through peer-to-peer learning,” said Director for NAM Centre for South-South Technical Cooperation Ronny Prasetyo Yuliantoro during the closing ceremony in Yangon, Monday (12/11).
It was also expected that the programme could assist future challenges posed by developing countries related to demographic change.
Instructors from National Agricultural Training Centre of Lembang delivered both theory and practical elements of hydroponic technique, pest management, Good Handling Practice and fruit and vegetable processing.
