Courtesy Visit to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Ambassador
Jakarta, Indonesia – Director Ronny Prasetyo Yuliantoro, accompanied by Assistant Director for Programme Niken Supraba, paid a courtesy visit to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Ambassador, H.E. Admasu Tsegaye Agidew, on January 14th, 2020. The Non-Aligned Movement Centre for South-South Technical Cooperation (NAM CSSTC)-Ethiopia partnership potential was addressed on the visit.
Ethiopia has joined as a Non-Aligned country since 1961. Ethiopia’s productive collaboration with the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) fora has been expressed through the attendance of the delegation from Ethiopia in 1955 Asia-Africa Conference in Bandung and the 1961 NAM Summit conducted at Belgrade.
The Director of NAM CSSTC provided information during the courtesy visit to promote Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM)-NAM CSSTC scholarship programme.
The NAM CSSTC Director and Ambassador Tsegaye then explored the possibilities for technical partnership initiatives, in order to enhance cooperation between Ethiopia-NAM CSSTC. Ethiopian Academic will be named as the prospective beneficiary in NAM CSSTC and UGM scholarship programme.
In addition to education, both parties discussed prospects for projects on introduction of agriculture technologies, food processing training and water jacinth processing training.
