NAM CSSTC’s Courtesy Visit to the Newly Elected Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia

The Director of the Non-Aligned Movement Centre for South-South Technical Cooperation (NAM CSSTC), H.E. Ambassador Diar Nurbintoro has paid the newly elected Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Sugiono, a Courtesy Visit on December 20th, 2024.
During this meeting, Minister Sugiono emphasized in increasing NAM CSSTC’s engagement in the Pacific region. He proposed that in 2025, NAM CSSTC prioritizes capacity building in key areas such as fisheries, disaster-risk mitigation, and other technical framework programs to address the needs of the region.
Moreover, Minister Sugiono also expressed his support for NAM CSSTC’s two planned seminars next year to pave the way for the “Road to 75 years of Asia-Africa Conference”. The two seminars are a seminar regarding Democracy and Election in collaboration with The International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA), and a seminar regarding energy and environment (Astechnova 2025) in collaboration with the University of Gadjah Mada.
This meeting highlights NAM CSSTC’s ongoing commitment to fostering international cooperation and addressing pressing regional challenges. (Susin Reksa Putri).
