Strengthening Partnerships: NAM CSSTC Director Engages with Islamic Development Bank's Regional Hub Director for Collaborative Endeavors
Jakarta, Indonesia, 05 April 2024. The meeting between Director of the Non-Aligned Movement Center for South-South Technical Cooperation (NAM CSSTC), H.E. Ambassador Diar Nurbintoro with the Director and Resident Representative of Islamic Development Bank’s Regional Hub Indonesia, Mr. Amer Bukvic, to explore the possibility of a joint effort aimed at promoting regional development and revealed the common goal of both organizations to promote socio-economic development in member countries.
During the meeting, both parties present their respective organizations' past activities and collaboration strategies implemented for the member countries. Both emphasize the significance of utilizing their expertise and resources to tackle urgent development challenges in the region. Both also highlighted the importance of strategic cooperation in areas such as enhancing capabilities, addressing financial issues, and fostering sustainable development, with a particular emphasis on encouraging inclusive growth and resilience.
The Director of NAM CSSTC expressed optimism about the prospects of a partnership with IsDB, highlighting the complementary nature of their mandates and the potential synergies that could arise from joint initiatives, with the broader development goals for the member states.
The Director and Resident Representative of IsDB's Regional Hub Indonesia expressed great admiration for NAM CSSTC's involvement in providing technical assistance for the development of NAM member countries. Additionally, he recommended to include private institutions in conducting training programs in hopes to gain access in the NAM member countries and engage in investment efforts.
The potential collaborative initiative between NAM CSSTC and IsDB holds promise for unlocking new opportunities for advancement and innovation, ultimately contributing to the collective efforts aimed at achieving inclusive and sustainable development across member countries.
