Director for NAM CSSTC Delivered a Presentation Titled “2022: Progress on the Implementation of the NAM CSSTC – ICC Memorandum Understanding”
Diar Nurbintoro, Director of the Non-Aligned Movement Centre for South-South Technical Cooperation (NAM CSSTC), attended the International Coconut Community (ICC) Ministerial Session and Conference on November 28, 2022.
The Director delivered a presentation titled "2022: Progress on the Implementation of the NAM CSSTC - ICC Memorandum of Understanding" in front of the delegations of ICC member countries present, including from 20 world coconut producing countries representing 90% of global coconut production, as well as international ICC organisation partners including the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP), International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources (ITPGRR), and the International Trade Centre (ITC).
NAM CSSTC utilised the Ministerial Meeting as a springboard to submit a report on the implementation of the "Coconut Replanting Programme," which was held in collaboration with the ICC in October 2022 in Viqueque District, Timor-Leste. The NAM CSSTC also forwarded requests for training in the field of coconut plant tissue culture techniques from Timor-Leste participants.
