BRIEF REPORT

The 2nd  international training course on information technology education methodology was successfully conducted, from 19 August to 15 September 2003, in the campus of the Electronic Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya (EEPIS). The course was actively participated by trainees from Cambodia (two persons), Ethiopia (one person), Fiji (two persons), Indonesia (one person), Kenya (one person), Lao PDR (one person), Madagascar (one person), Pakistan (one person), Sri Lanka (one person), Papua New Guinea (one person), Uganda (one person), Vietnam (one person), Uzbekistan (one person), and Zambia (two persons).

The sessions were organized technically based on the ‘learning by doing’ process as each trainee operates one’s individual on-line desktop. Direct tutorials were also made through pro-active mobilization of several technical assistants during the course of lectures.
