V.     TRAINING EVALUATION 

Two step evaluation processes -- post-class/field surveys and overall evaluation -- were designed to evaluate the conduct, programme contents and deliveries, training facilitators, the attainment level of skills and knowledge and the overall participants’ observations on facilities and secretariat service. The summary of the evaluation accomplished by the training participants is as follows:

B. Overall Evaluation 

Basically there are two kinds of evaluation. First is to evaluate the filled-out form of expectation, checking the compiled original statements written by the participants together in class. Second is to evaluate the filled-out form of overall evaluation after completion of all training subjects delivered. It was conducted on two ways, namely: (i) by structured questionnaire; and (ii) by oral expression. The overall evaluation is summarized as follows:

1. On Expectation 

            There are 4 (four) main issues expressed by the participants concerning: (1) understanding the microfinance; (2) putting substances delivered to their countries’ context; (3) possible application of knowledge and experience learned; and (4) other expectations.

Suggestions for Future Programme Planning: 

1.      More field sessions, both in Jakarta and outer regions

2.      ‘Back-Home Plan’ should be clearly informed prior to the departure of participants

3.      Time setting for class session should be shorter
