Mahkota Crystal Sendirian Berhad is a joint venture between Semaun Holdings Sdn Bhd, an investment arm of the Brunei Government and Langkawi Crystal Sdn Bhd, the pioneer of Malaysian crystal manufacturing. Located in Lambak Kanan Industrial Site, this ‘House of Crystal of Brunei Darussalam’ is the second largest manufacturer of fine crystal products in South East Asia. Its products are distributed locally as well as worldwide. All products are specifically handcrafted using the traditional flaring technique. Besides adhering to the highest quality standards, Mahkota Crystal has a distinctive style that is unique to the world. Thanks to information gathered from renowned glass centres around the world, continuous R&D, and a global marketing network. About the Entreprise:
The success story of the Marimin began in the 80s. It was just a small scale, family business, created and managed by owner Puan Hajah Siri Mariam. An enterprising and tenacious businesswoman, Puan Hajah Siti Mariam started the business by making and selling the delicious products for the local market. It did not take long for her crackers (products) to enjoy a great popularity and demand from the locals, and later from overseas market.
Syarikat Marimin dan Anak-Anak was registered in 1989. Since then, she has been running the company with the help from her husband and children. In April 2000, the company began its operations at its new premises at Beribi 1 Industrial Complex, Gadong.
